Seven residential towers are arranged in a linear sequence, integrated into the natural slope of the terrain. To the east, greenery extends into the neighborhood, while to the west, an urban zone set back by 3 meters blends into the residential quarter. Along this setback are public and semi-public facilities, from a café by the promenade to a sports hall and a semi-public swimming pool and fitness center, embedded in the slope with the towers rising above. The design system focuses on creating diverse spatial configurations and flexible floor plans from a limited set of elements. This allows each building to accommodate specific uses that give it a unique identity. A mix of luxury apartments, family homes, single-person units, student rooms, co-working spaces, and sports facilities will be distributed across the towers, promoting social diversity within the neighborhood. The roof areas are accessible as public, semi-public, or private spaces, while the ground floors offer transparent communal areas, bike storage, and repair facilities that connect with the surrounding nature.Design Studio Housing 2018Technical University of Vienna, AT
